If you know me at all then you know that you can't keep a good man down! In 2006 my world got rocked with a diagnosis of the dreaded "C" word. I have Multiple Myeloma, which is a rare form of cancer that starts in the bone marrow and works it's way through the skeleton into the blood stream. This form of cancer is usually not detected until it is in stage four. I am blessed because at the time of my diagnosis I was only at stage one. After major back surgery to remove a tumour that had formed on my spine, a blood clot and then a two year span of hardcore chemo, I am so glad to say that I have been in remission since 2008. I still do maintinance treatments every week but like to think of myself as a walking miracle!

With that said, during the time of chemo I found that it was hard for me to be still and recover. I had to find something that would occupy my time, but not wear me out. I had a photography class in college and was encouraged by my professor to think about persuing photography in some form because of some of the photos that I had taken for the class. What a better time than this to take up the job takin' pictures and capturing memories!

Photography has been a God-send for me. It is something that I love to do, and it allows me to be out and about and feel like I have a purpose still in life. I have done photo sessions for individuals, couples, kids, pets, etc. but my specialty and passion is nature. I love grabbing a forever glimpse of something that my God has created and allowed me to experience. I will never get to see that exact moment in time again, so why not try and grab it with a picture that will last me a lifetime.

I would like to thank you for your support in this venture in my life, as well as your business. May God truely bless you today, and each and every day that follows.
